Data Registers
The Data Register is a list of all the important information the university has. It's a tool used to manage data and protect information. Data Asset Register (DAR) defines the data assets available in different systems used by various LUMS departments. Data Stewards have created the data asset registers of their respective departments that are being used for the application of data classification, risk assessment, and data retention policies for protecting and sharing data.
Data Registers consist of the following:
- Data Asset Group
- Data Asset Name
- Data Asset Category
- Department
- Storage System
- Date of Origin of System
- Data Status
- Asset Evaluation (high/medium/low)
