Information System and Technology
How We Can Help
Students are assigned a LUMS username & password when you accept an offer of admission from LUMS and have completed your post-acceptance obligations. An email is sent to you during this time, asking you to pick up your account details from the IST Helpdesk (2nd Floor, Library Building).
IST owns and maintains all policies related to the use of IT infrastructure, software, services, data and information. These policies apply to the entire community of users at LUMS, as well as those who interface with LUMS, for example guests and visitors, contractors, suppliers, etc.

Services
Information Systems and Technology strives to be a center of excellence for customer support. Each school has dedicated IST support staff assigned to it, who then work closely with faculty, staff and students to fulfill the unique needs of each school. Most of our staff are Microsoft and Cisco certified, with several years of experience in IT support.
Our computing lab staff is available within each lab during lab operation hours to ensure all users of the lab are satisfied and have a pleasant experience while working there.
Customer Support
Business Applications Support and Development
Designing, Developing and managing IT systems, such as website, admission, payment and applications.
Web Design and Development
Web Team at IST is responsible for web design, development and optimization. The team works closely in collaboration with systems and security team to deliver the solutions that are aesthetically appealing and secure.
Learning Technology and Training
The Learning Technologies team operates under the LUMS IT Services, working closely with faculty, staff, and students to enhance teaching and learning through innovative digital tools and platforms.
Audio and Video Support
Helpdesk at IST provides full multimedia support to cover any LUMS internal events.
Tools
IST offers complete facilities to LUMS community including well-equipped labs, customer support and hardware services.

IST has four main labs with up-to-date systems and required software bank.
